I really enjoy tattoos.

Not just because it’s a form of expression, but because they say something about the person who took the time to get inked.  Tattoos are cool.  Tattoos are spiritual. Tattoos are traditional.  Tattoos are cultural.  Tattoos are for hipsters.  Tattoos are for dreamers.  Tattoos are for self-expression.

Many of my friends/family have asked me “why did you get that tattooed on you”.  For me, there is a story attached to each new piece.  For others, it can be a spur of the moment thing.  For some, it’s just a part of the trend.

I like to say that I choose to spend my money on tattoos instead of jewlery or fancy cloths.  It lasts longer that way!  Also, I like the idea of being a walking canvas.  It’s pretty rad having someone’s original art work displayed on your body.

I keep coming across these AMAZING old vintage pictures.  I like that back in the day having tattoos made you a “freak” or “side show act”.  At the end of the day, I think we are all one of those (tattooed or not…let’s be honest here!).  Anyways, some of these pictures just make me smile.  So simple, so beautiful and for some reason, so sad.  I want to know whats behind the women in these photos.  Their stories!  I’m so curious to know.

Things I wish I had right now.

1. a new house with my favorite Panda - I’m so ready! (soon…hopefully…crossing fingers!)

2. all the tattoos in the world - I just want to finish my back and thigh pieces then get started on my ARMS!

3. 15,000$ so that I can pay off all my depts (this includes my car, student loan and stupid Visa)

I so badly want to just have all these things complete by the end if 2012.

This is unreal.

3 days and I will be moving back to Ottawa - I can’t believe how fast the days are flying by!

My life is now boxes, work, boxes, packing, boxes and enjoying my last couple days with friends.
